Affiliate Friendly
This page talks about how you can set Optin Quiz Generator to be friendly towards the affiliates that send you traffic. In this way they are 100% sure to get credited for any lead that they sent to your autoresponder system(via the quiz landing page) when they purchase.
Here is the flow your website visitors will experience
- They will get to your quiz page and take the quiz.
- They will be asked to put the name and email
- They will get the analysis
As you can see there is no change in the flow. For the quiz taker everything will be the same. But when one of your prospects will buy some of your products and you used this feature, the affiliate who sent you that lead will get credited for the sale.
How to configure that?
Find below all the details.
1 - Step One: Set the autoresponder
Go to your autoresponder and set the custom variable name, that you need to put in the dashboard.
Add new field
Go into your autoresponder and ad a new field to the webform
Create a custom field
Create the custom field as text input
Hide the custom field
Make the value hidden so will not appear in the optin form
2 - Step Two: Set affiliate friendly in the dashboard
Go to the dashboard in the extra features area and then "Affiliate Friendly"
Make the settings
As shown below you need to set:
- Referrer variable name: refvalue
- Referrer variable default value: me-the-affiliate
- Referrer autoresponder variable name: custom value (or anything you created at step 1 above)
Note that the values above are just for the ilustration. You have the choice to put whatever you want.
3 - Step 3: See the results
The picture below shows how the link that your affiliates will to send traffic to your quiz landing page. Note the value refvalue=valentin-dem.
The picture below shows how your autoresponder will ad that value to the links you will be sending in your follow up messages:
If there is no value set by the affiliate that sent you the traffic, then the default value taken from the dashboar will be used.
So refvalue=me-the-affiliate, as set at step 2.
