Your first login

On this page you will learn about the Admin Dashboard links. First you have a video where you can see the details, then you have a text explaining the same thing.

After script installation, you can browse to the Administrator Dashboard Login screen by going to the following URL in your web browser:

http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php/admin

…or…

http://www.yourdomain.com/quiz/index.php/admin

/quiz/ indicates the folder you may have installed the script in, that you chose at step 2.2 of the quiz installation from: Install Optin Quiz Generator

The default username is admin and password admin.

Your first OQG Admin Dashboard screen

Take note of the message below:

IMPORTANT! The very first time you login in the system you will be shown this screen:

You will need to type the New Password, then Confirm your new password and type also the old password as well as an email address. If all was well you will see the following message:

The system will send you the password as coming from support@optinquizgenerator.com. Always check your SPAM folder to ensure it is not lost.

Change Password

You will need to type the New Password, then Confirm your new password and type also the old password as well as an email address. If all was well you will see the following message:

OQG Admin Dashboard Links

I will use the same screenshot of the Admin Main with no quizzes to draw your attention to the available links on the page, they are described below:

There is already a quiz pre-installed that we created for you as a model. You have there the swipe files included.

In case you installed the free version it will look as in the screen below:

Links description

Admin Main

Use this link to always return to the main admin screen.  It is the screen that contains the list of quizzes. It is important to know that if you are in the middle of doing some changes in the quiz settings they will NOT be saved if you click directly on “Admin Main” without saving before!

Add New Quiz

Use this link to create a new quiz in the system. 

Go to Quiz Page (In the FREE version)

Use this link to go directly to the currently active quiz! It is important to know that if you are in the middle of doing some changes in the quiz setting they will NOT be saved if you click directly on this link!

In the PRO version you will be able to have more than one active quiz, so this link is absent.

Reporting

Use this link if you want to access the reporting area of the dashboard.

This takes you to the Quiz Results: Summary page in the dashboard.

Change Password

Use this link if you want to change the password. The link has already been described above.

Logout Admin

Use this link to completely logout from the system.  Remember to save you data before.

Add Quiz

When you click on "Add New Quiz" you will be prompted with the options as shown in the image bellow.

Quiz Steps

When you used “Add New Quiz” OQG Dashboard will display the necessary steps to create all the functionality of the OQG.  It is not recommended you dive directly in them. Just browse and get accustomed with them before and then used the detailed explanation of this tutorial and the examples.

Save

When you use this button, the OQG Admin Dashboard will save the current settings of the changes you did on that respective quiz and stay on the page where you were working (it will not return to admin main).

If the Checkbox "Validate quiz completeness before saving" is ticked then the mandatory elements for a quiz to work properly will be checked, before saving. If they are missing or wrongly set, an error message will signal that. As a reminder the mandatory elements for a quiz to work properly are:

• At least one quiz question+ at least one answer +at least one analysis for that answer.
• The auto responder code.
• The URL is present in Step 5.3. of the quiz dashboard

If you don't want to use the validation check simply leave the box un-ticked and the system will allow you to save your work without any checks.

Save and Return to Admin Main

When you use this button, the OQG Admin Dashboard will save the current settings of the changes you did on that respective quiz and brings you back to the quiz list in the admin panel where you can see all your quizzes.

Cancel

When you use this button, the OQG Admin Dashboard will NOT save the current changes you recently made in the system but bring you back to the admin panel where you can see all your previously created quizzes.

Optin Quiz List

Once you created a few quizzes the Admin Main page will show them as well as additional links to use:

Edit Name

Use this link if you want to edit the name of a quiz from the list.

Edit Quiz

Use this link if you want to edit the properties of an already existent quiz.

Extra features

Use this link if you want to access the features like: List segmenting, iFrame 100% integration with your website and Exit quiz landing page code.

Clone

Use this link if you want to create a copy of any of the quizzes from the dashboard. This is useful so you don't create all the quiz again if you just want a very similar variation with an existent quiz.

Delete Quiz

Use this link if you want to delete a quiz and all its properties.  Remember that you will not be able to un-delete it!

Quiz is not complete

You will see this message in the quiz list, if while editing or adding a new quiz you did not created the mandatory elements for the quiz to work properly. Find here more details: Configure OQG Core Elements

Activate Quiz

As you can see from the dashboard you can have several quizzes created, but you can only have one quiz active at the time.  With the link “Activate Quiz” you will activate quiz, that means when the visitors will reach the landing page on your website where you installed your quiz, only the activated quiz will be shown.

You can have as many quizzes activated as you want.

Deactivate Quiz

If you want to de-activate a quiz use this link. You can activate and de-activate a quiz as many times as you want and the data will be preserved.
