How to Configure Optin Quiz Generator To Work With 1ShoppingCart
Installation Steps
Step 1 [Installation Steps]
It's recommended that you create a new 1ShoppingCart Campaign for each quiz landing page you install. Below is the screen shot for adding a new list.
Step 1 is to create a "Custom Opt-in Message". We do this BEFORE creating a new list for our quiz. Go to "Email & Marketing" | "Custom Forms" | "Opt-in Preferences".
Scroll down to the section titled: "Create and Edit Custom Opt-in Messages". This is the section that needs to be completed.
The reason for this Custom Opt-in Message is so that we can provide a custom "Thank You URL" for the list we create.
It should be noted that 1ShoppingCart uses slightly different terminology than most auto responder services. What they call a "Thank You URL", we typically refer to as the "Confirmation URL".
Anyway, just create your Custom Opt-in Message and ensure that you add your "Thank You URL". I am talking about the Thank You URL described here.
Note: The new format of the Thank You Page, Already Subscribed Page and Confirmed page are given to you by the Optin Quiz Generator, in the dashboard step 3.1.
Step 2 [Installation Steps]
It's recommended that you create a new 1SC Campaign for each quiz landing page you install. From the main menu bar, go to "Email & Marketing" | "Autoresponders" | "Create Autoresponder".
Create the new auto responder, and ensure that you select the Custom Opt-in Message that we previously created as your "Opt-in Verification Message".
Step 3 [Installation Steps]
Next, you want to create your opt-in form code. Go to "Email & Marketing" | "Custom Forms" | "Opt-in Forms".
Make sure the "Name" field is selected as "visible". Continue to Step 2.
Ignore the "Questionnaire" fields, and complete the bottom two "Mailing List" fields. Make sure you select your "Quiz List" auto responder.
For the "Mailing List Thank You URL", include the quiz script URL that includes the naming convention of the thank you page.
Note: The new format of the Thank You Page, Already Subscribed Page and Confirmed page are given to you by the Optin Quiz Generator, in the dashboard step 3.1.
Continue to Step 3.
Step 4 [Installation Steps]
Copy and paste the AR form code into a text file.
You could customize some of the values if you want. I customized the submit button text to display "Send my analysis".
Step 5 [Installation Steps]
Next, you'll want to copy and paste this AR form code into the Opt-in Quiz Generator script, Step 3.1 of the dashboard as shown below..
You can choose between different types of optin solutions. In the case of No Optin, the quiz taker will not need to insert the name/email to get the analysis but will be automatically displayed on the next page.
If you chose No Optin a new window below allows you to place an email address of yours that will receive a copy of the analysis, you chose so.
The single optin and/o double optin choice is self explanatory.
