Step 3: Autoresponders and Opt-in Setup
Here is where you configure the Auto Responder settings as well as the quiz analysis email you will send to your quiz takers after they complete your quiz.
Step 3.1 Auto Responder Setup
Opt-in Type
Is your auto responder list for this quiz using double or single opt-in? Just select one of them
You can choose between different types of optin solutions. In the case of No Optin, the quiz taker will not need to insert the name/email to get the analysis but will be automatically displayed on the next page.
If you chose No Optin a new window below allows you to place an email address of yours that will receive a copy of the analysis, you chose so.
The single optin and/o double optin choice is self explanatory.
Select Your Auto Responder
Opt-in Quiz Generator supports the following auto-responders: AWeber, GetResponse, Infusion, Email Aces, Interspire, and AutoResponse Plus.
Auto Responder Code
Copy and paste your auto responder opt-in form code here. If using AWeber, use the raw html form code, not the abbreviated java script code.
Tip: It's best not to select the option that opens the "thankyou" page in a new window after submitting the form.
Also, do not set the auto responder to return variables. It can be done if absolutely necessary, but a modification to the scripts config.php file will be necessary. Open the config.php file (/system/application/config), go to line 44, and change AUTO to REQUEST_URI.
This is where you configure the text that will be displayed above the auto responder opt-in form. This page loads after the quiz-taker has completed the quiz and submits for analysis.
Redirect (Thankyou) Page
You must set your auto responder to redirect back to this page after the quiz-taker completes the initial opt-in. You can set the Page Title to appear in the browser, as well as any text you'd like displayed.
Tip: In double-optin mode, this is a great place to tell the quiz-taker to go check their email inbox for the confirmation email.
The URL for this page, which you'll need for your auto responder list configuration, is as follows:

where quiz represents the folder on your server that you may have installed the script in.
Email Failure Override
Because technology is not 100% perfect, and sometimes email servers go down or experience delays, we've added in a manual override feature so that your quiz-takers can bypass the opt-in confirmation and get their quiz analysis.
I know you hate to lose out on an opt-in, but it's far better than having an angry prospect emailing you to complain that they didn't receive the auto responder confirmation email, or the quiz analysis email. Chance are that 98% of quiz-takers will never need to use the manual override, but it's better to be safe than sorry, right?
After the quiz-taker submits their opt-in (name, email), they will be redirected to the thankyou "Redirect" page that you configured above. On that page you will instruct them to check their Inbox for the confirmation email that was sent to them. How long should this page be displayed before the script automatically redirects to the Email Failure Override page that you will configure below?
Use this editor to add text that will appear on the Email Failure Override page. You may want to include something similar to: "Did you get your confirmation email yet? If not, click here to get your analysis email sent now."
Step 3.2 Quiz Analysis Email
Email Settings
These settings are for the email that will be sent from YOUR server for the quiz-taker's analysis. Configure the Email From, Email Subject, and From/Reply Email Address settings.
Optionally, you can configure the BCC Email Address if you would like to receive a copy of each quiz-taker's analysis email.
Email Introduction Text
This setting allows you to configure text to display in the analysis email just above the start of the actual analysis. Use it as an opening paragraph of your email, or whatever works best for you.
The script automatically will insert the following salutation prior to this text, and the entire email structure will look like this:

Email Footer Text
This setting allows you to configure text to display in the analysis email just below the end of the actual analysis. Use it as a closing paragraph of your email, or whatever works best for you. Tip: Include a call to action, such as a link to your sales letter for more information on the topic.
Step 3.3 Quiz Analysis Options
Quiz Analysis Delivery Options
This setting gives you three options for providing the quiz-taker with their analysis:
- Send via email only
- Display in browser only
- Send via email AND display in browser
Confirmed Page
This setting needs to be configured ONLY if you select "Send via email only" in the Quiz Analysis Delivery Options. If so, you can set the Page Title and the text to display on this page. This page loads as a redirect from your auto responder AFTER the quiz-taker has confirmed their opt-in.

On List Page (AWeber Only)
AWeber allows you to set a URL to redirect to in the case that your opt-in is already confirmed on your auto responder list. Because of this option, we coded the script to allow for this page redirect to act just like the confirmed page (since there is no need to re-confirm the opt-in).

Auto Page Redirect
At the completion of the quiz process, you can configure the script to automatically redirect the quiz-taker to a specific URL (maybe your sales letter or Tweet My Quiz page?). You can set the time in seconds, between 1-30, when the page will auto redirect after reaching the confirmed page.
This setting is ONLY for those who select "Send via email only" in the Quiz Analysis Delivery Options.
