What is a confirmation page in QOG?
In the terminology of most double opt-in autoresponders, a confirmation page is the term used to referring the page that your subscribers will be redirected immediately after they click on the confirmation link from the verification email the autoresponder company will send them.
In the case of OQG a confirmation page is exactly that, the page your website visitors will see after they took the quiz, gave their name and email and is time to confirm their coordinates. The autoresponder company will send them an email and when they click on the link, they will be redirected to the OQG Confirm page.
The peculiar aspect in OQG is that the link to the confirmation page is always the same:
http://www.yourdomain.com/quiz-folder/index.php/quiz-name/confirmed
where /quiz/ is the folder where you installed your script and quiz-name is the name of the quiz you activated.
Note that as of Optin Quiz Generator 2.1, you can have several quizzes all active at the same time from the dashboard.
For each the thank you page can be different, so you can something like:
http://www.yourdomain.com/quiz-folder/index.php/quiz-name-one/confirmed
http://www.yourdomain.com/quiz-folder/index.php/quiz-name-two/confirmed
If you install the script directly in the root folder then the URL looks something link:
http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php/quiz-name/confirmed
In the sections on how to configure OQG Core elements you get all the details you need, for now I just wanted to draw your attention about this aspect. The confirmation page of OQG, though it has only one URL, can take various “hats” depending on what you are setting up in the OQG Admin Dashboard. Here is a list:
- A simple confirmation page
- A simple confirmation page and URL redirect
- A Viral Friend Generator page
